About Me.
Marjorie Thomas is a filmmaker based between Los Angeles and the UK.
Her work blends poetic visual language with grounded, emotionally honest storytelling, often exploring themes of identity, mental health, and our relationship to the natural world.
She has directed narrative shorts, worked across factual television, produced music videos, and wildlife photography, with a style shaped by atmosphere, curiosity, and a sense of quiet wonder. Her work often unfolds in striking, remote landscapes — from the sun-bleached hills of California to the rugged cliffs of the Irish coast.
Marjorie currently works for BBC Studios Natural History Unit in Bristol, while developing a forthcoming magical realism YouTube series. She is available for directing, shooting, and photography projects across the UK, US, and internationally.
With a background in Film and Psychology, and hands-on experience across camera and assistant directing roles, she brings a strong understanding of set dynamics, a collaborative approach and a dedicated work ethic to every project.
She is a story-first filmmaker drawn to the offbeat, the emotional, and the unexpected.
